Iran animation 'Run Rostam, Run' to compete in 5 international festivals

Directed by Hossein Molayemi, 'Run Rostam, Run' has found its way to 5 international film festivals. 

Based in Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Serbia and Italy, the festivals to host the flick are:

1. New Horizon International Youth Festival of Short Cinema and Animation in Russia (April 22-28, 2018)

2. Cinema Perpetuum Mobile International Film Festival in Belarus (April 28-May 1, 2018)

3. Golden Kuker International Animation Film Festival in Bulgaria (May 7-13, 2018)

4. Prokuplje Short Film Festival in Serbia (May 16-20, 2018)

5. La Guarimba International Film Festival in Italy (August 7-11, 2018)

The 11-minute 'Run Rostam, Run' is a free comic adaptation of the traditional Persian epic tale of Rostam and Sohrab in Ferdowsi's masterpiece 'Shahnameh'.

A brief synopsis of the flick reads, 'Rostam, an old national hero travels to the future and comes to Tehran 2017 in order to make up for what he has done to his own son. He faces a dilemma of choosing between the legal and illegal way to reach his legitimate goal.'

The animated flick has some international nominations and wins in its resume including 8 awards at the 8th edition of the Edukino Film Festival in Poland.
